The calculator
The calculator runs in your browser. We only receive the numbers you enter if you ask for your plan by email. The calendar reminder is a file created on your device.
Your water plan by email
If you ask for your plan by email, we collect your email address and the numbers you entered, to send you the plan and occasional emails about home water preparedness. To stop them, reply "unsubscribe" and we'll remove you. You can also ask us to delete your data at any time.
Measurement
We use two tools to see how people use this site, so we can improve it:
- Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages people read and whether the calculator gets used.
- Microsoft Clarity shows how visitors use the pages (clicks, scrolling and taps) through session recordings and heatmaps. Anything you type is masked.
In the United States, these tools are on by default and you can opt out at any time with the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page. We also treat your browser's Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out. Everywhere else, they load only if you accept cookies, and you can change your choice with the "Cookie settings" link.
We don't use advertising trackers on this site, and we don't sell your data.
Links to our other page
The air water calculator lives on a separate page that also shows a product we recommend as an affiliate. That page has its own privacy notice.
